People have their own reasons for relocating; they can range from seeking greener pastures to suffering a heartbreak. In any case, their goal is generally to have a better life at their new location. Fortunately, a better life is what awaits them in Calgary, as Colleen Schmidt reports for CTV Calgary.
The results of the 2013 Citizen Satisfaction Survey were released on Tuesday and 88 percent of Calgarians say they are satisfied with the quality of life in the city.
For the second consecutive year, almost 9 out of 10 Calgarians said quality of life in the city was good.
“This research is one of the ways we listen to citizens,” says Mayor Nenshi. “Good data makes for good decisions. The citizen satisfaction survey helps us to create priorities and increase our understanding of what we’re doing well and where we need to improve.”
Highlights from the 2013 Citizen Satisfaction Survey:
- 92 percent say they are proud to be Calgarians
- 85 percent rated The City’s quality of service as consistently high
- 84 percent say they are satisfied with City programs and services
However, no matter how great their desire is in moving to Calgary soon, they may have a difficult time settling in if they don’t have a place to settle in yet to begin with. Of course, they could crash at a friend’s or relative’s house in the meantime, but they certainly don’t want to take advantage of their generosity for too long. They can also consider staying at a hotel or motel, but doing so can prove to be too costly in the long run; in the end, they really do need their own place.
The good news is: they can hire a qualified Calgary Realtor to help them reach that goal. The Realtor will help them make financial arrangements for their new home and show them their options for available residential properties, among others; if they haven’t decided yet on which option is most suitable for them, whether a house or a condo, a realtor can enlighten them so they can make a well-informed decision.
Moving is an exciting experience. However, unless they intend to become a nomad at their new location, it is important they have their new place of residence ironed out before they move. Fortunately, with help from qualified Realtors like Christine Ordze, they can be assured of a smoother transition.
